It is a pleasure to introduce the newest member of the Pileus team, philosopher Mark LeBar. Thanks to the efforts of Jim Otteson, Mark has finally been persuaded to formally join us as a regular author. I say formally since Mark has already guest posted for us and his frequent comments have consistently raised the bar of the conversation between us and our readers.
Here is his bio:
Mark LeBar is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Ohio University (Athens, OH), where he teaches moral, social, and political philosophy. He holds a BA in Philosophy and English from Westmont College (Santa Barbara, CA), an MBA from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA), and MA in Philosophy from the University of Washington (Seattle, WA), and earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ). This year he is on sabbatical, and spending it at the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom at the University of Arizona. He has published articles in ethics and political philosophy and is completing a book manuscript on eudaimonism.
