Here are a few things I’d like to see happen on this Election Day:
- Republicans take back the House with a small majority. The Democrats have overreached and need to be rebuked. Ultimately I would like to see the health care bill replaced with a bipartisan bill along the lines of the old Wyden-Bennett bill with ample room and incentive for local and state experimentation. On the other hand, I don’t want a Republican landslide, which they might take as a mandate for their cowardly, dishonest “program” of repealing Medicare cuts, extending the Bush tax cuts, and… (profit?).
- Libertarian-ish Republicans do particularly well, like Rand Paul and Nancy Pelosi’s challenger.
- Republicans do surprisingly poorly in the South and surprisingly well in the Northeast and Pacific West. From a libertarian perspective, it’s bad for the GOP to be a Southern party.
- New Hampshire legislature flips Republican. N.H. Republicans are increasingly libertarian-leaning and may be the most libertarian state major party in the country.

Ignoring all your crazy propositions I will crack a bottle of French (!!! *Be aware*!!!) Champagne if Warren Mosler makes it. And by the way: You still have the chance to match the bet and put up 100 Million US$ claiming the US federal government will eventually run out of money. Here Good luck on that bet
